CE 431 Senior Design Project I

Interdisciplinary team design projects are suggested by the faculty (but may be initiated by students) and approved by the faculty. Students work in teams to investigate and develop two design alternatives for a project.  Reports are presented in both oral and written form. Practitioner involvement is required in each design alternative. Also includes considerations of safety, reliability, aesthetics, social and environmental impact. CE 431 is the first of two courses to be taken in sequence during the semester prior to graduation. CE 431 and CE 432 address various management, business, public policy, leadership, and professional issues.
