HIST 107 World History to 1500
This course is an introduction to origins and development of the major world societies through 1500. Major topics include the changing status of women, the origins and spread of world religions, the nature and results of cross-cultural encounters, different approaches to understanding the human relationship to the natural world, and the various factors behind the decline and collapse of civilizations.
