This course is a continuation of Biochemistry I, providing a comprehensive introduction to the study of metabolic pathways with emphasis on basic principles of regulation. The mechanism of hormone action and interrelationships between signal transduction and metabolic regulation will be discussed. An introduction to drug design and the mechanism of action of drugs in the human body will be included. The course will conclude with an introduction to molecular biology.
