ANTH 301 Medical Anthropology

Health, illness and treatment can be regarded very differently in various parts of the world and even within American society. This course will focus on the impact of beliefs and values on medicine. A range of definitions of health and illness, as well as the treatments which flow from these definitions, will be considered.
