BIOL 102 Principles of Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related states or events (including disease), and the application of this study to the control of diseases and other health problems. This class uses an interdisciplinary perspective that includes the fields of public health, epidemiology and anthropology. Lectures focus on socio-behavioral interactions that influence the causes and spread of disease with special attention to social disparities.
