GS 200 Foundations of Global Studies

In this course we will explore the diverse and often conflicting meanings associated with the concept of globalization. We will examine world geography with respect to major regions and consider political, economic, and cultural systems with an eye to what it means in the 21st century to be or become a "global citizen." The course will be interdisciplinary and will offer the students the opportunity to examine ways to "globalize" their horizons, their major disciplines, and their career paths.
