HUM 306 Computers and Society

An examination of the social implications of computer technology and of the special social and ethical issues raised by the growing use of computers in all aspects of human life, including business and finance, science, education, government, etc. Among topics considered will be privacy and security, quality of work life, the potentials and problems of computer modeling, information systems and artificial intelligence, and the responsibilities of computer professionals and others for the use of computers.
