MIS 351 Systems Analysis and Design

This course presents methods for analyzing and designing business IT systems. The course emphasizes the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology. Classical and object oriented methods and tools are applied to business analysis and problem solving situations with adjustments as required to today's business environment. Included are requirements analysis and use case analysis, process models, data models, consistency of process and data models, justification and costing techniques, conversion and implementation procedures. A case study is employed to provide a practical "hands-on" approach.
