PHLT 102 Fundamentals of Epidemiology
This course provides students with an introduction to the concepts and methods of epidemiology. Epidemiology topics related to important biologic, social, and environmental determinants of diseases and public health related problems in specific populations will be covered. Emphasis will be placed on principles and methods of epidemiological disease surveillance as well as prevention and control of infectious and chronic diseases in the Southeastern United States and the Mid-South region.
