CRS 391 Religion in American Public Life

The course examines the historical and contemporary role of religion in American public life. Topics include: the United States' current diverse religious landscape, distinctions between private and public demonstrations of religion, civil religion, the First Amendment, and the role of religion in matters of race, gender, and medical sciences.
