MPAS 712 The Path to Clinical Excellence
This 3-week, pass/fail, course introduces students to various aspects of clinical practice. During this course, students will receive evidence-based medicine reviews as well as advanced training in different areas of medicine. There will be lectures to prepare the students for the licensing and the certification process, navigating the PA career search and employment process, how to negotiate a contract, write a good CV, etc. Students will be prepared for the administrative side of being a clinician to include, but not limited to, education on billing and coding. The students will also learn the importance and process of leadership and advocacy in the PA profession. This course also includes a professional PANCE preparation program.
