Acceptance Procedure

Admission is selective, and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible after applications open on August 1. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling admissions basis; however, the preferred application date is May 1 for the Fall semester and January 1 for the Spring semester. Students who apply after these dates will be considered for admission on a space available basis. When a student has filed a completed application (official high school transcript, official college transcripts when applicable, and other items requested for holistic review by Admissions Counselors (e.g., essay, letter(s) of recommendation, and official ACT or SAT scores)) with the Office of Admissions, the Admissions Committee will act upon it. Admissions will begin releasing decisions no later than November 15. Students will be notified of the decision shortly thereafter.

When committing to attend, students must submit a completed health form and are required to confirm a place within the entering class with a non-refundable deposit of $300.00. Some reductions to this fee may be made at the discretion of the Director of Admissions. (This does not include the $150 housing deposit for those who plan to reside on campus. First-Year Students and others wishing to live on campus should also submit a housing agreement.)

No acceptance will be considered final until the above fee and forms are returned, including final transcripts of work in progress at the time the application was received by the Admissions Office.
