Overview
THE SCHOOL OF SCIENCES offers programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Natural Science; Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Natural Science Education; and a RN-TO-BSN completion program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Students seeking to enter schools of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or any health-related professional school traditionally enroll in the School of Sciences. The baccalaureate degrees in Biochemistry, Biology, and Biomedical Science are designed to meet the entrance requirements of all health-related professional schools.
The SCHOOL OF SCIENCES now includes degrees in BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES which includes study in Psychology and Sociology as well as Anthropology and Criminal Justice. The faculty in this group collaborate to offer a BA degree in Applied Psychology and in Psychology; as well as minors in Anthropology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Criminology, Engineering Psychology, Psychology, and Sociology. The faculty in this group also support the interdisciplinary BS program in Neuroscience.
The degree programs are constructed to produce graduates who will be able to excel as professionals in science, who will succeed in pursuing further education in graduate or professional schools, and who will use their science background as a foundation for careers in other areas such as business, law, education, and engineering.
