EDUC 418 Assessment Practices in Early Childhood and Elementary (Prek - 5)

Assessment Practices in Early Childhood and Elementary Education (Pre-K – 5) is a comprehensive course designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively assess student learning from Pre-K through Grade 5. Through a blend of theoretical foundations and practical application, participants will explore various assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments, performance-based assessments, and authentic assessments. Emphasis will be placed on utilizing assessment data to inform instructional decision-making and support diverse learners. By the end of this course, educators will be equipped with a robust toolkit to design, implement, and analyze assessments that promote student growth and achievement across the developmental spectrum.
