PHLT 335 Public Health of Mental Illness

Overview of the methods of identification and treatment of mental illness today. Explores current research and debates surrounding the definition, prevention, and treatment of mental health disorders. Students will also be introduced to concepts in public health, psychology, and psychiatry prevalent in health services delivery and research. The history of mental health treatment and current policy, systems, and services both past and present will also be discussed.
