PHLT 391 Qualitative Research Methods in Public Health

Introduction to the fundamental principles of conducting qualitative research in public health. Emphasis will be placed on acquiring the strategies and techniques needed to conduct qualitative research among human research participants. This course will also focus on: developing qualitative research studies; theory and formulation of research question of hypothesis; design, sampling, and data collection; data analyses; and dissemination and implications of qualitative research methods.
