CIED 653 Resident Internship in Elementary/ Secondary Setting

Under the guidance of an assigned cooperating or mentor teacher and a Resident  Coach, the graduate student assumes the responsibilities of a classroom teacher. During the internship, resident fulfills role of the lead teacher in collaboration with their Mentor for a full school year in an elementary or secondary setting. This consists of the first internship course which is 4 days a week in schools with a weekly internship seminar course on Fridays. Coaches from faculty observe Residents in their diverse settings. Enrollment of 2 semesters for 4 hours each.
