Political Science Minor

Course Requirements

A minor in Political Science consists of 18 hours distributed as follows:

12 hours in Political Science

Students are required to take the following courses:

POLS 112	American Government	3
POLS 113	World Politics	3
	OR
POLS 115	Nations and States (Comparative Politics)	3
PHIL 219	Social and Political Philosophy	3
	OR
PHIL 220	Contemporary Moral Issues	3
	Any POLS Course	3

6 hours chosen from Political Science and/or the following:

ECON 215	Principles of Macroeconomics	3
GS 200	Foundations of Global Studies	3
PHIL 219	Social and Political Philosophy	3
PHIL 220	Contemporary Moral Issues	3
SPCH 125	Speech Communication	3
RS 326	Social and Political Theologies	3
	OR
RS 340	African American Theology	3
	OR
RS 330	Justice and Society	3

A maximum of 3 hours POLS internship credit can apply to a minor. Students are encouraged to take at least one 300 level Political Science course.
