HMBA 627 Health Information Visualization
The purpose of this courses is to teach students how to create meaningful visualizations of healthcare data and the theory behind effective data visualization. Students will learn the basics of information visualization using Tableau and apply skills learned in HMBA 625: Health Data Analytics to analyze time-series data, distributions, ranking, part-to-whole, correlations, multivariate, and geographic data. Through hands-on practice, students will learn how to combine visualizations into dashboards using examples to address relevant healthcare operations use-cases.
