ENTR 205 Startup Formation, Financing and Growth
This course focuses on business organization, sources of funding, and the scaling of operations to
serve emerging markets. You will learn how to determine the appropriate organizational and legal
structure for different types of ventures, how to assemble and manage an effective team, and how to
plan and execute a successful growth strategy. Topics covered include legal and regulatory
guidelines, pro forma financial planning, venture financing, basic business accounting, shaping
corporate culture, and how to create a compelling business plan and pitch deck.
