ENTR 206 Entrepreneurial Sustainability

The purpose of this course is to provide students with practical information on the term sustainability
business development. The business development practices introduce the sustainability concept in
their activities to add value to their brand, grow revenues, decrease costs, reduce waste, redesign
goods created, and implement strategies that help to improve the social-environmental benefits for
the greater society. Students will learn the purpose of leading a sustainable organization and also
improve their skills to facilitate critical, creative, and viable decision making for their future
professional careers. Through the use of articles, illustrations, and case studies, students will observe
how sustainability is revolutionizing the market through innovation and socially responsible
strategies. The course examines companies’ approaches for strengthening students’ abilities to
identify potential market opportunities and learn the tools and concepts used by organizations to
certificate sustainability development efforts. This course hopes to help students to sharpen their
sustainability thinking for envisioning potential future business initiatives.
