HIST 305 The Middle Ages

A political, economic, social, and intellectual history of medieval western civilization. Among other things, the course will cover topics such as the transition from Roman to Medieval civilization, monasticism, feudal society, the religious and intellectual revival of the High Middle Ages, the Papal Monarchy and the Crusades, the Black Death and the transition from Medieval to early modern European civilization.
