ENG 450 Contemporary Literature

A study of significant fiction, poetry, and/or literary nonfiction published in English in the past twenty-five years. The course examines how contemporary literature engages with our current world, perhaps through its use of history, fantasy, realism, or some other genre or technique. The course will introduce students to critical approaches to studying literature as part of our contemporary moment.
